- Reservations under CSGA’s room blocks can be made until 5 pm NT June 15, 2023 for the Sheraton and until 5 pm NT June 16, 2023 at the Courtyard.
- Rooms are based on single/double occupancy. Additional rates per person will apply.
- Room rates are subject to a 4% Tourism Marketing Levy, and 15% Harmonized Sales Taxes (HST).
- Hotel reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance. Please refer to your reservation confirmation email or contact the hotel to modify or cancel your reservation.
Getting Here
Whether you are flying in to St. John’s International Airport, less than 10 km from the downtown core, or taking the ferry for a driving adventure, getting here is easy!
Airport Taxi
City Wide Taxi is the exclusive provider of ground transportation services for the public at St. John’s International Airport. Taxi cabs queue outside the Arrivals Area where taxi dispatcher is available to assist you. A flat rate of $35 will apply to all trips to the Sheraton Hotel, subject to change.
Ferry
Your ferry journey can be booked via Marine Atlantic from North Sydney, Nova Scotia, to Port Aux Basques (7 hours) or Argentia (16 hours), Newfoundland. Dates and reservations are limited, so please book soon.

During our Monday afternoon Luncheon, we celebrate excellence, dedication, and service in the seed sector with presentations of the 2023 CSGA Honorary Life Awards, and the Robertson Associate Awards. CSGA Award recipients will be welcomed on stage and presented with their awards. Once announced, we invite you to learn more about them here.

Saturday, July 8 Afternoon Optional Tours
Since we’re finally getting together again, let’s do it with a splash! Join us Saturday, July 8 for one of our fun afternoon programs. Reserve your spots through the AGM registration link. Additional fees apply.

Whale and Puffin Watching (Saturday, July 8, PM, $150.00/pp)
What is a trip to Newfoundland without Puffins and Whales? O’Brien’s Whale and Bird Tours will take you to the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, home to the largest Atlantic puffin colony in North America. With the largest population of Humpbacks returning each summer, there are bound to be a few breathtaking moments!
Pippy Park 18-Hole Golf (Saturday, July 8, PM, $165.00/pp) (18+)
Pippy Park’s Admiral’s Green offers a 360-degree panorama of North America’s oldest city and miles of rugged coastline. With a course par of 71, this Graham Cooke championship-designed course treats golfers to a challenge rated worthy of any British Open Championship! For participants 18 yrs+. Note: Club rental is $20 plus HST.
SeCan’s Fun Night – “Rally in the Alley”, Sunday, July 9 PM (Complimentary) (19+)
St. John’s has more bars and pubs per capita than any other city in Canada! Most of them are located on the infamous George Street. On Sunday evening, guests get to experience the famous nightlife of downtown St. John’s. For adults 19+, you’ll start with a traditional Fish and Chips Dinner, then an organized Pub Crawl that features local entertainment and cultural experiences in each venue. Your evening finishes with a live dance band.

Monday, July 10 Gala Awards Luncheon
Attendees are invited to the beautiful indoor garden Atrium, where a hot plated lunch will be served as we celebrate this year’s CSGA Award Recipients.
The luncheon is included in your AGM Business Program registration, however reservations are required. Please use our AGM Registration Link to reserve your spot or purchase additional tickets.
Companion and Children Programs
On Sunday, July 9, Companions and Children are going to have an amazing day while you’re at the AGM business sessions. These full day tours offer a little bit of everything St. John’s and the surrounding areas have to offer. Enjoy!

Historic St. John’s, Cape Spear and a Taste of Newfoundland, $250.00/pp (16+)
Sunday, July 9, Full Day
This amazing day starts in Quidi Vidi, a fishing village founded in the 1600s. You’ll then tour the city of St. John’s and Cape Spear, the most Easterly point in North America. From there, enjoy brilliant vistas from Cabot Tower and Signal Hill. After a walk through a cliffside World War II gun battery (watch for whales and seabirds) and the oldest standing lighthouse in North America, you will enjoy lunch at the famous Chafe’s Landing. Your day finishes with a stop at Newman’s Wine Vault and the Masonic Temple for local treats, tea and coffee. For participants 16 yrs+.

Petty Harbour Aquarium & Trampoline Fun, $225.00/pp
Sunday, July 9, Full Day (5 – 15yrs.)
Are you bringing youngers ones with you? We’ve got a great Sunday planned for them! Children 15 and younger will have the opportunity to experience St. John’s maritime offerings, at the Petty Harbour Aquarium (supervised by qualified staff.) Kids of all ages will enjoy this catch-and-release aquarium. Experience hands-on touch tank exhibits, live animal displays, one-on-one science interpretation, and much more!
