CSGA is thrilled to welcome all members, stakeholders, and seed enthusiasts, along with their families, to the 2026 Annual General Meeting, taking place July 3–5, 2026 in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Dress code? Yukon formal! Here, comfort rules… think jeans and a nice shirt, with comfy shoes for exploring, attending sessions, and enjoying the city. Leave the suit and tie at home—this is all about casual, relaxed fun while you experience the Yukon.
Seed is where agriculture begins and our members represent the full spectrum of the seed sector. From seed growers, plant breeders, Seed Crop Inspectors, analysts and graders to organizations that support the seed sector and more. The AGM is more than a meeting—it’s where leaders across the seed sector come together to share knowledge, forge partnerships, and strengthen Canada’s seed system.

Agenda & Business Program
We’re still putting the finishing touches on the Agenda and Business Program. Please check back here for updates and announcements.

Additional tickets will be available for purchase. Reservations are required; please use the AGM registration link to secure your spot.

Accommodations
Please note: the hotel where guests will be staying is different from the venue for the AGM business sessions.
The 2026 AGM guest accommodations will be at Hyatt Place Whitehorse, located in the heart of downtown Whitehorse. Surrounded by breathtaking northern landscapes and just steps from the Yukon River, Hyatt Place offers modern comfort and convenient access to local dining, cultural attractions, and the city’s rich history. A block-rate booking link will be shared closer to the event. Please stay tuned.

All AGM business sessions and meetings will be held at the Sternwheeler Hotel and Conference Centre, approximately an 8-minute walk from the Hyatt Place Whitehorse.

Pre-AGM Optional Tours, Friday, July 3
Start the AGM experience early by joining our optional pre-AGM tours! This is a great chance for delegates and their families to reconnect, kick off the week with energy, and enjoy a fun, shared adventure before the business sessions begin. Spots can be reserved through the AGM registration link. Additional fees apply.
Notes: Both tours will have limited spaces. Rain or shine, no reimbursement is provided in case of inclement weather. A minimum number of registrations is required for the tour to operate.
1. Carcross & Miles Canyon Tour (afternoon)

Experience the beauty, history, and culture of the Yukon on this afternoon adventure! The tour begins with a scenic drive out to the dramatic Miles Canyon, where stunning vistas offer perfect photo opportunities. Along the way, enjoy a stop at Emerald Lake for a scenic photo break, followed by a visit to Carcross, where you can explore cultural points of interest and wander the town at your own pace.
The journey continues with a scenic Southern Lakes Mountain drive, a stop at the Yukon Sign Best Photo Spot, a visit to the Visit Haa Shagóon Hídi Cultural Center, and a walk across the unique Carcross Desert. This tour combines breathtaking scenery, cultural highlights, and memorable moments—an unforgettable introduction to the Yukon’s wonders. Cost: TBA
2. Takhini River Canoeing Adventure Tour (afternoon)
Take to the water on a half-day canoeing adventure on the Takhini River, gliding with the current through unforgettable Yukon scenery. This gentle, scenic paddle is perfect for beginners, offering a safe and relaxed way to enjoy the river while fostering friendships and shared experiences.
Over two hours in canoe, you’ll take in fresh air, breathtaking views, and the beauty of the northern wilderness. An unforgettable and energizing way to experience the Yukon’s natural beauty! Cost: TBA
Companion and Children Programs, Saturday, July 4
While AGM business sessions are underway, companions and children can enjoy an exciting day exploring Whitehorse. These full-day programs combine breathtaking northern scenery with fun and engaging activities. Don’t miss this chance to create lasting memories!

Get ready for a day of creativity, relaxation, and northern charm! Start your morning with a hands-on glass-blowing workshop, where you’ll make your own keepsake to remember
the day. Then, enjoy a delicious local Whitehorse lunch featuring fresh, regional flavors.
In the afternoon, unwind at the breathtaking Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Yukon wilderness.

Children’s Program: Wild Adventure Yukon
Saturday, July 4 (Full Day, Transportation included)
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure for kids aged 5–13! At Wild Adventure Yukon, young explorers will enjoy a full day packed with hands-on activities and exciting experiences. They can try gold panning, dog carting, visit the petting farm, and explore iconic spots like the Carcross Desert and Bennett Lake Beach.
An on-site picnic lunch is included, and certified childminders will be with the children throughout the day to ensure a safe and fun experience. This is the perfect way to inspire the seed growers of the future while they make memories that will last a lifetime! Cost: TBA
Family Fun Night: Takhini River Ranch
Saturday evening, July 4 (Transportation included)
Generously sponsored by SeCan. Our beloved AGM tradition, Family Fun Night brings together all attendees and their families to celebrate the people and achievements of
Canada’s seed sector. This year, we’re taking the festivities to the beautiful Takhini River Ranch, overlooking the scenic Ibex Valley and surrounding mountains set in the breathtaking Yukon wilderness
Guests will enjoy homemade local cuisine, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and an evening inspired by the spirit of the Yukon Gold Rush, a time of adventure, discovery, and community. Live music and lively entertainment set the scene for a relaxed and memorable night of connection, storytelling, and celebration. Awards Gala Dinner
Sunday, July 5, evening
A highlight of the AGM, the Awards Gala Dinner brings together all attendees to celebrate excellence, dedication, and innovation across Canada’s seed sector. This year, the gala will be held at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre in the heart of Whitehorse. The stunning Longhouse provides a meaningful and memorable setting, celebrating the heritage,
traditions, and artistry of the Kwanlin Dün people.
Guests will enjoy locally inspired cuisine, immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of the Yukon, and be welcomed through cultural experiences, including a sacred fire, an Elder’s story, and cultural sharing by the Dakhká Khwaán Dancers.
Throughout the evening, we will honour outstanding contributors to the seed sector with the presentation of CSGA awards, recognizing leadership, service, and achievement.

Arriving at Whitehorse International Airport (YXY)
Whitehorse International Airport is just 10 minutes from downtown, making arrivals quick and convenient. A taxi stand is located right outside the arrivals area, and several local companies provide reliable service to downtown hotels and AGM venues. Options include Yukon Cabs, Yellow Cabs, and Whitehorse Taxi, among others, ensuring smooth and easy transfers for all attendees.
Guests staying at the Hyatt Place Whitehorse may also take advantage of a complimentary hotel shuttle. Advanced reservations are not required as the shuttle operates on standby following each flight arrival. After collecting your baggage, look for the Hyatt representative holding a sign in the arrivals area, or step outside and check to the right for the shuttle bus.
Things to Do in Whitehorse
Whitehorse is compact and easy to navigate, with downtown hotels, dining, and AGM venues all within walking distance and taxis readily available. July is the perfect time to experience the Yukon—long days, warm weather, and endless adventure await.
